Known as market lights, café lights, or globe string lights – this familiar type of string light is perfect for any indoor or outdoor occasion: wedding receptions, corporate events, backyard parties and more. Our commercial grade outdoor 40′ globe string light contains 25 shatter-proof bulbs and can easily be connected end-to-end up to 12 strings. Easily suspend them from tents, trees, posts, or railings across your space. Our globe string lights are spaced 18″ apart on white wire. The lights even have clips built in for round paper lanterns.

How many string lights do I need for my event?
Plan for one 37.5 ft string per 32 linear feet of coverage. For a full overhead canopy effect, run strings parallel about 4–6 feet apart. Use our string light calculator to get an exact count based on your space dimensions.

What do I need to hang them?
You’ll need anchor points at both ends of each run – trees, poles, tent frame, railings, or a building edge all work. We include 2 white ball bungee cords per string with each rental to make attachment easy. For longer spans without a midpoint support, a catenary wire or guide wire ran parallel to the string keeps strings from sagging.

Can I connect multiple strings end to end?
Yes! Our Globe string lights connect end to end, so you can span long distances without visible gaps or extension cords mid-run. Each string draws only 14 watts, so multiple strings on a single circuit won’t overload it. You can safely run up to 16 strings together.

Are these lights safe for outdoor use?
Yes. The bulbs are shatterproof polycarbonate LED – not glass – so they stay cool to the touch all day and hold up in outdoor conditions. They work well strung between trees, tent poles, pergolas, or any overhead anchor point.

How does shipping and return work?
Your lights ship so they arrive on your Rental Arrival Date. The box includes tape and a prepaid return label – after your event, pack everything back in the same box and drop it at any UPS location. Free two-way shipping is included on every rental!
